Tunisia: no flights to Misurata airport (Minister)

Chiheb Ben Ahmed, Minister of Transport, has denied reports by Libyan media on the upcoming launch of regular flights between Tunis-Carthage and the Misurata airport via Zuwarah (Libya).

Ben Ahmed said in a statement released Monday, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is still expecting from the Libyans compliance with security measures required in accordance with the Convention on International Civil Aviation and agreed with Libyan officials at the meeting held on September 10, 2014, according to the TAP agency.

These measures will be evaluated before scheduling a second meeting to be overseen by the Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to develop an implementation plan.
