The Tunisian Company of Pneumatic Industries (STIP) saw a 10% increase in total turnover during the first quarter of 2023, compared to the same period of fiscal year 2022, to 33.3 million dinars.
The company’s local turnover decreased by 9% compared to the same period of 2022 to 24.4 million dinars.
The company said this decline is explained by the flooding of the local market with tires from the parallel market.
As for export sales, they have increased by 157% compared to the first quarter of 2022, to 8.9 million dinars compared to 3.4 million a year earlier.
