PhosCo Ltd has announced the formal granting of the Sekarna phosphate exploration permit in Tunisia.
It is the first ever phosphate exploration permit granted 100% by the Tunisian Government to a foreign investor.
This development follows the recent approval of the Gassaat project and an important Memorandum of Understanding with the Tunisian Government and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
These moves underline PhosCo’s growing presence in the Tunisian mining sector, demonstrate confidence in the company and underline its commitment to responsible resource exploration,” TipRanks said.
The 128km² Sekarna permit is a key part of PhosCo’s strategic efforts to develop the region’s phosphate resources, which could create significant value for stakeholders including investors and the local economy.
PhosCo Ltd is a mining company focused on phosphate exploration and development. The company is primarily involved in the development of projects in Tunisia, with a particular focus on the Sekarna and Gassaat projects.
