Tunisia: Poulina Group records first decline in turnover since 2020

At the end of the first quarter of 2024, the Poulina Group’s sales totaled 944 million dinars, a decrease of 3% compared to the same quarter of 2023.

This is the first decline in the Group’s quarterly turnover since the last quarter of 2020 (-4%).

This decline is due to the 30% decrease in export sales between March 2023 and last March, from TND 123.4 million to TND 88 million.

As for the local market, sales increased slightly by 0.4% to TND 856.9 million, compared to TND 853.4 million in the first quarter of 2023, while production fell by 3% to TND 959 million in this quarter.

Investments in the first three months of the current year reached TND 22.4 million, compared with TND 18.9 million in the same period in 2023, up 19%.

The company’s outstanding bank debt increased from TND 1,141 million at the end of December 2023 to TND 1,202 million at the end of March 2024, up about 5.3%.
