Tunisia receives $1.2 billion in financing from ITFC

On the sidelines of her participation in the annual meetings of the Islamic Development Bank Group, held in Riyadh from 27 to 30 April, Minister of Economy and Planning Feryel Ouerghi signed a new three-year framework cooperation agreement with Hani Salem Sonbol, CEO of the International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC).

The agreement, worth $1.2 billion (approximately 3.78 billion dinars), will be allocated to certain public companies to finance their imports of raw materials such as crude oil and petroleum products.

The Minister of Economy and Planning also met with Saad bin Abdulaziz Al-Khalab, CEO of the Saudi Export-Import Bank, Saudi EximBank, where they discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between Tunisia and the bank.
