Tunisia: reported agricultural investments slightly up at end November 2022

The number of investment operations reported in the agricultural sector stands at 5,946, at the end of November 2022, compared with 6,211 at the same date in 2021 (-18.6%), bringing investments of 1,218 million dinars (+1.5%), against 1,200 million at the end of November 2021 and 1,241 million at the end of November 2019.

Indeed, according to data from the Agency for the Promotion of Agricultural Investments (APIA), the intentions of agricultural investments have been dropping regularly for at least five years. It is almost the same for “approved” operations.

These are down in number of operations compared to last year but up 31% in value (544.2 million dinars, against 415.3 million at the end of November 2021).

This is the same for jobs that would be generated (3,153 jobs against 3,562 at the end of November 2021).
