TUNISAIR published on Tuesday, January 17, its activity indicators for the year 2022. The national carrier has recorded an increase of 98% in the number of passengers carried which reached 2.17 million passengers, against 1.1 million passengers in 2021.
Consequently, the company’s turnover has more than doubled at the end of the past year to 1.26 billion dinars, against revenues of about 610 million dinars in 2021. Thus, the average revenue per passenger has increased from 450 dinars to 482 dinars.
On the side of the main variable expenses, fuel expenses have risen by 218% to 442 million dinars, while airport fees amounted to 326 million dinars, against 209 million in 2021.
In addition, the wage bill has virtually stagnated to 188.7 million dinars, against 187.7 million at the end of December 2021. As for the workforce, it has dropped from 3,280 employees in 2021 to 3,193 employees as of December 31.
In addition, the company’s financial expenses stood at 17 million dinars last year, against 27 million in 2021.
