Investments in the industrial sector reached 2,118 MD in the first seven months of 2017, compared to 1,739.3 MD in the same period of 2016, posting an increase of 21.8%.
The number of reported projects reached 2,148 in the first seven months of 2017 against 2,185 in the first seven months of 2016, down 1.7%, according to the latest figures from the
Agency for the Promotion of Industry and Innovation (APII).
These projects will create 34,477 jobs, compared with 32,355 jobs in the first seven months of 2016, up 6.6%.
In July alone, reported investment in the industrial sector reached 170.6 MD, compared with 119.0 MD in July 2016, up 43.4%.
The number of reported projects reached 160 during the month of July 2017, compared to 167 in July 2016, i.e. down 4.2%.
These projects will allow the creation of 2507 jobs, compared with 3418 jobs in July 2016, i.e. a decrease of 26.7%.
