Tunisia: Saudi company plans to invest in tourist area of Gabes

The Board Chairman of a large Saudi firm, Ahmed Abdullah Al Hussaini stated “his intention to invest in the integrated environmental tourist area of Gabes.”

After his meeting Tuesday with the governor of Gabes, the Saudi promoter expressed the wish to see the study of the project be completed within a period not exceeding six months, to move on immediately to the implementation phase.

The event was crowned by the signing of an agreement under which the Saudi firm submits to the Tunisian concerned parties a complete record of the project, within three months.

The project of the tourist zone, which extends over an area of 324 ha, will include a hotel unit, a golf course and leisure areas.

The Saudi company had implemented an agricultural project for the production of potatoes and dates in Tozeur on an area of 1,000 ha in collaboration with a Canadian company
