Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts René Trabelsi, on Thursday, stressed the Ministry’s intention to double the number of Dutch tourists from 20 thousand in 2019 to 40 thousand in 2020.
“We must spare no efforts to reach the number recorded in 2010, i.e. 100 thousand Dutch tourists”, he said on the sidelines of a meeting on the theme “Dutch market opportunities in 2020” organized in Tunis by the Tourism Observatory.
“Some obstacles are currently hindering the development of this market, particularly air transport; Tunisair only operates two flights per week to the Netherlands,” he said, considering it “insufficient.”
Trabelsi pointed out that several companies have already expressed their predisposition to initiate flights to the Netherlands.
