The number of tourists who visited the Southwestern governorate of Kebili from August 11 to 20 August reached 9,944 visitors who spent 10,651 nights. Russian nationals topped visitors with 2,589 visitors, followed closely by the Germans with 1,405 visitors.
With the exception of the week that followed the assassination of Deputy Mohamed Brahmi where the sector had declined by 4%, the sector has not been adversely affected by recent events in the country, regional commissioner of tourism Anwar Chetoui told TAP correspondent in the region.
