Tunisia: SIMAC wins contract worth nearly $8 million in Cameroon

Cameroon’s 2nd generation State Personnel Management Information System (Sigipes 2) has been entrusted to the Tunisian company SIMAC (Société de l’informatique de

management et de communication), a subsidiary of the group CET Tunisia.

The Cameroonian Ministry of Public Service’s internal procurement commission has given the Tunisian company a two-year deadline to design the new version of Sigipes2, for an overall amount of CFAF 4.2 billion, equivalent to nearly $7.8 million, reports the Cameroonian news site Investir au Cameroun.

Sigipes2 will put an end to the various frauds perpetrated and which cause the Cameroonian treasury to lose several billion CFAF each year. Its deployment will increase transparency in the remuneration of state personnel
