Tunisia: SOPAT significantly reduces its losses in 2021

The Agricultural Production Company of TEBOULBA (SOPAT) has published its financial statements as of December 31, 2021, as they will be submitted for approval to the Ordinary General Assembly to be held on June 28, 2022.

These statements show a net loss of 270,000 dinars, against a net loss of 5 million dinars in 2020. This strong reduction of the deficit results from the 22% growth of the company’s revenues from 118.3 million dinars to 114.7 million between 2020 and 2021.

As for operating expenses, they have increased by 20% to 144.9 million dinars including 113 million purchases of raw materials consumed.

Consequently, the operating result is in surplus of 930 thousand dinars, against a deficit of 1.5 million dinars at the end of December 2020.

The net financial expenses continue to weigh on the company’s result although they have decreased last year compared to 2020 from 3 million dinars to 2.2 million.
