Remittances from Tunisians living abroad (TRE) amounted to 2.53 billion dinars, at the end of the first four months of the current year, compared to 2.38 billion dinars during the same period in 2022, meaning a growth of 148 million dinars (+6%).
Expressed in dollars, the funds sent by the Tunisian Diaspora amounted to 818 million dollars (average monthly rate of the dollar = 3.092 dinars).
Workers’ remittances represent almost double the tourism revenue generated by Tunisia over the same period.
