Tunisia: SOTUVER increases half-year revenues by 4% to 82 million dinars

SOTUVER recorded sales of 82.5 million dinars in the first half of 2023, compared to 79.3 million dinars in the previous year, an increase of 4%.

This increase was driven by exports, which accounted for 61% of total sales, excluding indirect exports, which represented 7% of total sales.

In the local market, sales decreased slightly by 2% from 32.9 million dinars to 32.3 million dinars. According to the company, this decline will be compensated in the course of the year, in line with the production plan.

The value of production reached 42.5 million dinars at June 30, 2023 compared to 37.7 million in the second quarter of 2022, a significant increase of 13%.

The company’s total debt went up by 42% from 70.5 million dinars at June 30, 2022 to 99.8 million dinars at the end of June. Compared to 31 December 2022, outstanding debt rose  by 16%.

Taking into account investments and cash, which increased sharply by 66%, net debt decreased by 4% from 24.8 million dinars on June 30, 2022 to 23.9 million dinars in the first half of 2023.

Capital expenditure amounted to 3.2 million dinars during the first quarter, mainly for the maintenance of production tools and the purchase of industrial equipment.
