Tunisia: Sotuver’s export sales sharply increase

SOTUVER’s local turnover posted a slight increase of 4% to 9.8 million dinars in the fourth quarter of 2017.

In contrast, the company recorded a surge in export sales by 48% to 10 million dinars.

For the whole of 2017, local sales increased by 23%, from 25.6 million dinars in 2016 to 31.5 million last year, thanks to better coverage of market needs in most sectors.

In the export market, turnover has risen by 27%. It grew from 28.5 million dinars in 2016 to 36.3 million dinars in 2017, thanks to consolidated growth in traditional markets, particularly Africa, and the penetration of new markets.

In total, the overall turnover of the 2017 fiscal year has increased by 25% to 67.8 million dinars, against 54.2 million achieved in 2016, far exceeding the 61 million dinars planned in the business plan published in t August 2017 on the occasion of the capital increase in cash.

2017 was the first full year in full capacity. The company’s production amounted to 74 million dinars against 55 million in 2016, up 33%.

The issue prospectus of August 2017 counted on a net profit of 7.1 million dinars, i.e. an expected growth of 13.8%.
