Tunisia: Switzerland, IFC grant 1.5 MTD to improve business procedures

The Swiss government and the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank (BM), Tuesday, granted Tunisia nearly one million Tunisian dinars (MTD).

This donation will support Tunisia in the implementation of a proposed comprehensive, systemic and participatory reform project of business procedures in the country. IFC will also provide technical support to the project.

The 18-month project aims to minimize the time and cost of business-related administrative formalities to help the private sector and in particular SMEs, to further develop and create more jobs.

The donation agreement was signed by Mr. Riadh Bettaieb, Minister of Investment and International Cooperation and Mr. Magdi Amin, Head of Regional Affairs Department, IFC.
