Tunisia is taking part for the 15th consecutive time the international food industries and drinks exhibit “FOODEX” held March 6-9 in Tokyo, Japan with 17 exhibitors (12 in 2011) displaying various processed foodstuffs including olive oil, dates, wines, canned food, pasta, olives , sweets and for the first time honey and fresh tomatoes.
The holding of a “cooking Show” attracted numerous Japanese visitors looking for Mediterranean flavor and the recipes presented at the show have been translated in Japanese and made available to visitors.
Besides, a seminar on the sector of food industries in Tunisia was held Tuesday by delegates of “CEPEX” (Exports Promotion Center) and “PACKTEC” (Technical Packaging Center) and a Japanese expert in Tunisian olive oil.
