Tunisia takes part in FOODEX Tokyo

As part of implementation of the promotional program for the agri-food sector in the year 2013, the Tunisian Exports Promotion Agency (CEPEX) is organizing the sixteenth official Tunisian participation in FOODEX 2013 which runs from March 5 to 8 in Tokyo.

The national pavilion covers 120 m2 and brings together 14 companies specializing in food industry. A wide range of products are showcased, including olive oil, dates, wines, canned food, table olives and pasta.

On the sidelines of the exhibition, a seminar on “valuation of Tunisian olives and medicinal plants in Tunisia” was organized on the first day of the show, with the participation of a Japanese expert in Tunisian olive oil as well as representatives of CEPEX and services of the Tunisian embassy in Tokyo.

This new edition of the show will be an opportunity for Tunisian exhibitors to present their products to enhance the quality of their products and show their skills to face a tough competition targeting consumers and policymakers.

FOODEX, considered as the main tradeshow dedicated to food and beverage industries in Asia and the world, welcomes over 80,000 visitors and 2,500 exhibitors from over 70 countries.

It provides to participants opportunities for dynamic discussions and business opportunities to penetrate the Japanese market as well as Asian and global markets.
