Tunisia: Telnet’s quarterly turnover drops 12%

Consolidated sales of Telnet Holding decreased by 12% in Q1-2018, from 11.1 MD in Q1-2017 to 9.75 MD in the first quarter of the current year.

This contraction emanated from the 14.6% decline in revenues of the component research and development in product engineering, which represents 79.7% of the group’s revenues.

The sales of this division fell to 7.77 MD against 9.10 MD in Q1-2017. Exclusive of the scope of Altran Telnet Corporation, (of which TELNET holds a 30% stake), revenues from the Product Engineering Research and Development division have increased by 9.47% compared to Q1-2017.

This evolution is marked, essentially, by the increase of the volume of business in the Telecom business (+ 61%) and the Multi-Media business (+ 14%), while consolidating the turnover of the Electronic activity.

At March 31, 2018, the Telecoms and Networks integration business (representing 6.20% of the group’s revenues) maintained its level of activity, as for the same period in 2017, around 0.6 million dinars.

Lastly, the PLM services division (representing 14.11% of the group’s operating revenues) also maintained its activity level at 1.38 million dinars.
