Tunisia: tender for construction of 11 bridges

The Ministry of Public Works has launched this week an international tender for the construction of 11 bridges in 11 governorates with an overall cost of 50 million dinars, press officer of the Ministry Lotfi Chatti told TAP.

The bridges will be built in the governorates of Manouba, Beja, Nabeul, Sfax, Kairouan, Kasserine, Gabes, Tozeur and Kef.

The international tender grants a preferential margin to Tunisian developers who will participate in the tender.

The project is a component of a programme for the development and modernisation of basic infrastructure of classified roads.

The African Development Bank (AfDB) contributes to funding this programme, under two loan agreements amounting to 418 MTD signed with Tunisia in November 2015.
