Tunisia’s state grains agency has issued an international tender to purchase around 100,000 tons of durum wheat, 92,000 tons of soft wheat and 50,000 tons of animal feed barley, European traders were quoted as saying by Reuters on Thursday.
The tender closes on Dec. 13, they said. The grains can be sourced from optional origins for 2020 shipment.
The durum was sought in four consignments of 25,000 tons and the soft wheat in three of 25,000 tons and one of 17,000 tons. The barley was sought in two 25,000 ton consignments.
The durum shipment was sought between Jan. 15 and March 25, depending on origin selected.
The soft wheat shipment was sought between Jan. 10 and Feb. 25 and the barley shipment between Jan. 15 and Feb. 15. Both periods also depend on origin selected.
Tunisia’s state grains agency, in a tender reported on Nov. 19, purchased about 75,000 tons of soft milling wheat, 92,000 tons of durum wheat and 50,000 tons of feed barley, according to the same source.
