The Tunisian government has not abandoned the Islamic Sukuks option as a means of financing, Tunisian Minister of Finance said at a press conference on Monday.
He also announced, as will confirm later the Governor of the BCT during the same meeting, that Tunisia has mobilized a sum equivalent to 1 billion DT under Sukuks.
Hakim Ben Hammouda said the revision of the Law on Sukuks and its adoption by the new House of People’s Representatives will be completed by the end of Q1 2015 and Sukuk could be issued at the end of next March.
