According to monetary and financial indicators published Tuesday by the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT), income from workers’ remittances rose by 2.81%, reaching 5.33 billion dinars on August 31, compared with 5.18 billion dinars on the same date last year.
Tourism receipts also rose by 6.79% to 4.87 billion dinars, compared with 4.56 billion dinars a year earlier.
As a result, total tourism and workers’ remittance receipts reached 10.2 billion dinars at August 31, 2024.
