Cumulative tourism receipts reached the sum of 2.818 billion dinars on September 10, 2018, according to the daily monetary and financial indicators of the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT),
These receipts thus recorded a rise of 912 million dinars (+ 47.8%) compared to the same date of the previous year (1.9 billion dinars).
Nevertheless, it must be remembered that the Tunisian dinar has depreciated by 11.3% against the euro and 13.8% against the US dollar between the two periods.
The number of foreign tourists exceeded 5.1 million during the first eight months of the current year.
