Tunisia: tourism receipts rise 6% to 1.8 billion dinars at end September

Tunisia’s tourism revenues have grown only 6% in dinar to 1.8 billion dinars, the countervalue of 550 million euros, at the end of last September.

This slowdown in activity is all the more worrying as tourism revenues have fallen by 60% compared to those generated during the same period of 2019, or 4.4 billion dinars.

As tourism is one of the sectors most affected by the COVID crisis, huge challenges are required, today, to put the sector back afloat.
