Tunisia: tourism revenues drop by 600 million dinars at the end of May

Tunisia’s tourism revenues continue to fall since April due to the Coronavirus crisis. According to the daily monetary and financial indicators of the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT), the cumulative tourist receipts (since the beginning of the year) edged down 599 million dinars at the end of May 2020, i.e. -37%.

Tunisia’s tourism receipts therefore amounted to 1.03 billion dinars at the end of the first five months of the current year, compared to 1.63 billion during the same period of the past year.
