Tunisia: Tourism revenues show a shortfall of 26% (Abdellatif Hmam)

Abdellatif Hmam, Director General of the Tunisian National Tourist Office (ONTT) told African Manager the entry of non-residents on the date of August 20, 2015 was down 23% compared to the same period in 2014.

For the European markets, the trend is downwards and this decline ranges between 15% and 50%. However, an increase is recorded in several Arab markets, including the flows of Algerians which registered a growth of 16%. This is the case for Moroccans, Saudis and Bahrainis who posted increases of 35%, 10% and 26%, respectively.

Tourism revenues showed a shortfall of 26% until August 10, 2015, compared to the same period last year, Abdellatif Hmam noted.
