“The 3rd Export Development Project (PDE III) will be launched Tuesday, November 24,” T Samir Abid, project coordinator said in a statement to African Manager.
The project includes three main components. They involve support for the improvement of the business climate, the dissemination of technology and innovation, the provision of financial and non financial services to export companies, and support to the Ministries of Commerce and Handicrafts for coordination and project management.
The official said between 1000 and 1500 companies will benefit from this project which aims to increase the competitiveness of exporters and strengthen the partnership between the public and private sectors especially in the field of export promotion.
The PDE III, whose cost is estimated at 50 million dinars provided by the World Bank in the form of a loan, runs over 5 years.
