Tunisia: tourism struggles to catch up with 2010

Tourism revenues reached 2,681.1 million Tunisian dinars (MTD) until the end of October 2012, against 2,002.3 MTD during the same period of 2011 and 2,999.6 MTD in 2010, posting an increase of 33 9% compared to last year and a decrease of 10.3% compared to 2010.

The number of tourists rose, meanwhile, to 5,168,764 tourists always to the end of October 2012, up 26.6% compared to the same period of 2011 and down 15.5% compared to 2010.

The number of overnight stays to the end of October 2012 also posted a decline of 15.8% compared to 2010. However, an increase of 49.7% was recorded in the first ten months of this year compared to same period of 2011.
