The consumer price index posted an increase of 5.5% in October 2012, according to figures released by the National Institute of Statistics.
The largest increase was recorded by tobacco with 11.2%, and the lowest one was registered by communication with 0.3%.
For the rest, we note an increase in descending order for education with 8.8%, restaurants & hotels with 7.7%, clothing and footwear with 7.6% and food & drinks with 7.4 %.
The increase in furniture & household equipment in the index was 6.2%, while that of other goods & services reached 4.3%, housing, water, electricity and gas 3.2%, culture and leisure 2 4%, and finally transport 2.2%.
