From January 2024 to the end of August 2024, Tunisians (residents and non-residents) were the most numerous travelers to Tunisia, with 3,235,600 entries. They were followed by Algerians (2,134,300 entries) and Libyans (1,264,700), according to the National Institute of Statistics (INS).
The French were in fourth place with 823,400 visitors, while the British followed with 215,000 visitors, closely ahead of the Germans with 214,500 tourists.
Among the other European nationalities, 114,300 Italians, 77,200 Belgians, 33,100 Swiss, 24,600 Dutch and 22,300 Spaniards visited Tunisia during the first eight months of this year.
Finally, the number of Middle Easterners reached 38,100, followed by Moroccans (38,000), Americans (27,200), Austrians (16,900), Swedes (11,400) and Danes (3,700).
The total number of travelers in the first eight months of the year was just over 9 million.
