Tourist numbers soared 128% until April 20, compared with the same period in 2021, as nearly one million tourists from different countries have visited Tunisia.
However, the number of tourists dropped 49% over 2019, according to statistics from the Ministry of Tourism.
Therefore, tourism revenues grew nearly 47%, to 659 million dinars (MD), remaining, however, below those recorded the same period of 2019, down 42%.
As for overnight stays, they amounted to about 2 million, soaring 108% compared to 2021 and dropping 50% compared to 2019.
