Tunisia: trade balance coverage rate drops to 66.1%

The trade deficit widened to 9,408 million Tunisian dinars (MTD) in the first eight months of 2014, from 7,668.9 MTD, during the same period in 2013, due to the 4.5% decline in the coverage of imports by exports to 66.1% against 70.6% in 2013.

According to indicators published by the National Statistics Institute (INS), the volume of Tunisian trade reached 18,205.4 MTD at export and 27,713.4 at import.
