Tunisia: trade balance coverage ratio reaches 75.8% in 3 months

The food import-export coverage ratio has dropped to 75.8% in end March 2016 from 128% over the same period last year,” Noureddine Agrebi, Director General of Food Industries at the Ministry of Industry said in a statement to African Manager Monday, April 18.
 
Noureddine Agrebi noted, in this context, that the agribusiness sector exports reached a value of 675.6 million Tunisian dinars, which represents a fall of 42% compared to the first three months of 2015, i.e. 1.18 billion dinars.
 
As for imports, Noureddine Agrebi said they also dropped 3% from 918 million dinars at the end of March 2015 to 891 million dinars at the end of March 2016.
