Tunisia: trade with other AMU countries soars 127.9%

Foreign trade between Tunisia and other countries of the AMU (Libya, Algeria, Morocco and Mauritania) posted an increase of 127.9% from 212.1 MTD, during the four months of 2011, to 483.4 MTD during the same period this year.

The value of Tunisia’s exports to these countries is estimated at 872.6 MTD until late April 2012 against 541MTD the same period of 2011, up 61.3%

These exports were as follows to April: 505.9 million Tunisian dinars to Libya, 243.2 MTD to Algeria, 111.4 MTD to Morocco and 12.1 MTD to Mauritania.

As for imports from these countries, they went up 18.3% to 389.2 MTD. These imports amounted to 288 MTD dinars from Algeria, 80.1 MTD from Morocco, 20.7 MTD from Libya and 11.7 MTD from Mauritania.
