The Department of Transportation announced it has granted Tunisair two weekly frequencies between Tunis and Montreal.
According to “AeroTunisie,” no specific date has been set for the launch of this promising and awaited new line. But the Tunisian government has contacted the Canadian authorities to obtain all necessary approvals.
It should be recalled that the national airline is still awaiting the delivery of three Airbus A330s ordered for long-haul flights.
According to reports, Tunisair will operate this line in cooperation with a Libyan company. By also using a jumbo Airbus A330, the company will connect Tripoli and Montreal with a stopover in Tunis.
