Tunisia: UBCI and BNPParibas group reaffirm support for Enda Tamweel

The “Union Bancaire pour le Commerce et l’Industrie” (UBCI) and Enda Tamweel signed a financing agreement worth 12 million dinars granted in the form of a loan over a period of 3 years and intended to finance the activity of micro-entrepreneurs through micro-credits.

The financing agreement was signed on September 11, 2020 between the UBCI and Enda Tamweel represented respectively by Mr. Pierre BEREGOVOY and Mr. Mohamed ZMANDAR, Managing Directors of the two institutions.

This operation shows the commitment of the banking sector to be a major ally for the micro-finance sector and the support of micro-entrepreneurs, especially in the current economic context.

This agreement will make it possible to finance the activity of supporting micro-entrepreneurs through micro-credits and will have positive effects on job creation.

It therefore participates in efforts to promote economic and social development.
