Tunisia: UfM project to increase employability launched

The ISCAE (Institute of Accounting and Business Administration) at the University of Manouba, has recently opened its doors to the first group of students from New Chance Mediterranean Network program (MedNC). 22 students, including 19 women participate in the program.

The New Chance Mediterranean Network program (MedNC), initiated by the UfM (Union for the Mediterranean) aims to improve the employability of young people who have left school without a diploma and unemployed graduates in southern Mediterranean countries.

Students participating in the ISCAE new chance program (most are graduates of ISCAE currently seeking employment) will be engaged during the next five or six months in several activities that will facilitate their access to the labor market by reducing the mismatch between job opportunities and skills.

The program includes training in interpersonal skills: languages, information technology (IT) and professional skills such as accounting, management, human resources, coaching and first work experience in partner companies. Specific sessions will be devoted to job search techniques, job interviews, management of conflicts, etc.
