Tunisia: UIB first bank to have electronic signature

The UIB has just signed the Delegated Registration Authority (DRA) agreement with ANCE/ TUNTRUST.

The signing ceremony was held entirely remotely as part of a real application of the electronic signature process.

It was also livestreamed on ANCE’s Facebook page allowing UIB and ANCE teams, as well as the interested public, to follow the event as if they were there.

This delegation authorizes the UIB to issue to its customers an electronic certificate acting as a digital identity card on the Internet.

This certificate will allow the UIB customer to affix a legally valid electronic signature on the electronic documents to show his consent to the content of the signed deed.

With this new possibility, UIB will soon be able to offer its customers and prospects complete online banking services including the contractualization stage, for example for opening a bank account, signing a loan contract, taking out an insurance policy, ordering a new bank card, etc…

Already strongly committed to the digitalization of its processes and customer paths, the UIB continues with the signing of this agreement its pioneering role in the Tunisian banking sector, in order to foster the development of digital trust services on a national scale, to promote the decashing of the national economy and to create an ecosystem conducive to the emergence of new uses and modes of digital consumption in our country.
