Tunisia: UNDP funds seven projects in Zaghouan

Seven projects to improve water management in rural areas are underway in Zaghouan by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), with support from several donors, including Finland, UNDP Representative in Tunisia, Diego Zorilla said as he visited the region, in company of ambassador of Finland in Tunis, Tanja Jaaskeläinen.

These projects concern water supply, infrastructure improvement, pipeline renovation and drinking water management by involving women, the UNDP representative said in a statement to TAP.

With a total cost of 740 thousand dinars, these projects will benefit 943 families. They will be completed in April.

Consultations will be carried out with the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources to carry out similar projects in rural areas in Jendouba, Beja, Bizerte, Kasserine and Zaghouan, said Zorilla.
