UNIMED announced, on Monday, that it had increased its profits almost fivefold in the first half of the current year.
The leading operator in Tunisia’s pharmaceutical industry, specializing in sterile products, posted a net profit of TND 6.7 million at the end of June, compared with TND 1.4 million a year earlier, representing a 380% increase.
This performance was driven by a sharp rise in half-year revenues, which reached TND 61.3 million, compared with TND 42.5 million in the first half of 2022, up around 44%.
These revenues are made up of TND 28.4 million in export sales (+14%) and TND 32.9 million in local sales (+86%).
In the first half of the year, the company almost quadrupled its operating profit to TND 11.7 million, compared with TND 3 million, at the end of June 2022.
