Tunisia: US dollar exceeds for first time 3.300 dinars mark on interbank market

The U.S. dollar continues to hit records against the Tunisian dinar. The greenback, on Tuesday September 27, 2022, exceeded for the first time, the threshold of 3.300 dinars on the interbank market.

According to the daily data of the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT) on the average prices of currencies on the interbank market, the dollar is traded against a record of 3.3018 dinars.

In a context of political and economic uncertainty, the dollar currently represents a safe haven worldwide. This strength of the greenback explains the wave of depreciation of currencies, including the Tunisian dinar, worldwide.
