Tunisia’s Ambassador to Brussels, Sahbi Khalfallah, received a delegation from the Tunisian Women’s Tech Consortium (WETIC) during a business prospecting mission in Belgium aimed at strengthening female entrepreneurship and technological partnerships between Tunisia and Belgium.
According to a statement from the embassy published Sunday, the mission included a Tunisian-Belgian business forum and a B2B networking day bringing together Belgian and African companies.
The program also featured visits to companies, incubators, and the European Parliament, focusing primarily on the information technology, communication, and digitalization sectors.
The main goal of the initiative was to lay the groundwork for concrete programs supporting female entrepreneurship in Tunisia and to boost cooperation, particularly with Walloon companies in the digital field.
These activities highlighted Tunisia’s pivotal role as a bridge between Europe and Africa, while enabling the exchange of business opportunities across the Mediterranean.
Building on the success of this mission, the embassy and the WETIC delegation, the first Tunisian women’s ICT consortium, agreed to organize similar visits soon in Flanders and Luxembourg.
