Tunisia’s gold reserves stood at TND 788,329,935 and its foreign exchange reserves at TND 22,919,977,as of 30 June 2023. This is according to the BCT’s balance sheet for the first half of 2023.
It also includes an advance by the BCT on the Tunisian state’s participation in the IMF’s capital of more than TND 2,398.213 million and an “open facility” for the state of TND 1,900 million.
Under “Liabilities and equity” there are two accounts, a central one and a special one for the government. The first contains almost TND 320 million and the other just over TND 1.778 billion. Almost the same amount (1.769 billion DT) is in the name of “foreign organisations”.
