Tunisia’s passport most interesting in Maghreb

Tunisian passport holders can travel to 67 countries around the world, either without a visa or by obtaining a visa on arrival, according to the Henley Passport Index.

Henley & Partners, an international residency and citizenship consulting firm, has released its quarterly update of Henley’s passport index.

The index ranks passports by the number of destinations that their holders can access without the prior approval of the government.

According to the report released earlier this week, Tunisia ranks 77th in the world. Morocco ranks second in the North Africa region with 61 destinations without a visa or visa on arrival.

The ranking is based on data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

The highest ranked passports on the list are Japan and Singapore, followed by Finland, Germany and South Korea. The US passport ranks 6th.

Among the countries that Tunisians can visit without prior visa are Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Côte d’Ivoire, Cook Islands, Japan, South Korea, Brazil, Jordan and Turkey.
