Turkish YKM Textile confirms its investment in Tunisia

As part of its mission to promote and develop foreign investments, Ugur Yildiz, CEO of the Turkish company YKM Textile specializing in the textile industry, was received on November 13, 2025, by Mr. Jalel Tebib, Director General of FIPA-Tunisia.

This meeting is part of the ongoing efforts to strengthen Tunisian-Turkish partnerships and aims to explore opportunities for industrial collaboration in the textile sector, a strategic field for the Tunisian economy.

Discussions focused on the investment climate in Tunisia, the country’s competitive advantages, and prospects for sustainable and innovative cooperation.

At the end of the meeting, YKM Textile’s representatives confirmed their decision to invest in Tunisia and have already begun the necessary procedures with the support of FIPA-Tunisia.

They highlighted their interest in the strengths of the Tunisian market, particularly its skilled workforce, geographic proximity to Europe, and the favorable conditions offered to foreign investors.

Tebib presented the reforms undertaken to improve the business climate and facilitate the establishment of foreign companies, recalling that Tunisia remains a competitive industrial and logistical platform in the Mediterranean.

It is worth noting that the textile and clothing sector is currently showing strong growth  confirmed by data from the first half of 2025: FDI in the sector recorded a 41.9% increase, rising from 92.8 million dinars in 2024 to 131.8 million dinars for the same period in 2025.
