WB grants Mauritania US$ 16 million for vocational training

The World Bank has granted Mauritania US$ 16 million for its Technical and Vocational Training Support Project (PAFTP), under an agreement signed Monday in Nouakchott by the two parties.

According to a representative of the WB, Moctar Thiam, the project falls under the National Programme for the Development of the Education Sector (NPDES), undertaken by the Mauritanian government to diversify technical and vocational training.

The latest grant brings to US$ 31 million the total number of loans granted to Mauritania for projects in the field of human resources and the higher education
