One hundred tourism businesses in Tunisia will receive support under the Tourism Recovery Programme, launched by Enpact and TUI Care Foundation, to enable local tourism businesses to cope with the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) announced Wednesday.
This programme also aims to help these companies to improve their ability to innovate, maintain jobs and strengthen international collaboration with the European market.
The programme offers selected companies the opportunity to receive targeted mentoring, training and direct financial support of up to 9,000 euros per business.
It therefore strengthens the efforts and objectives of current tourism projects in Tunisia funded by the European Union and the German Cooperation.
Applications are open until October 27 for tourism companies in Tunisia.
This support program is supported by GIZ on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and is implemented jointly by Enpact and TUI Care Foundation in coordination with the project “Promotion of Sustainable Tourism” of GIZ Tunisia, a joint action of the European Union in Tunisia within the framework of the programme “Tounes Wijhetouna” and the BMZ in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts
