Funds amounting to 23 million dinars have been mobilised by the Ministry of Agriculture and are ready to be disbursed to projects approved.
This is the first tranche of credits within the framework of the Private Fund for Agricultural and Fisheries Promotion, the ministry said in a statement.
Its objective is to encourage agricultural investment and support agricultural promoters and those engaged in fishing activities.
The farmers and fishermen concerned by these funds are those in categories (A and B). They may have grants already approved and ready to be disbursed, according to the same source.
A second tranche of credits will be mobilised and announced in the next few days, said a press release from the Agriculture Department.
